While media and public commentary in relation to Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to raise concerns for many families, public health authorities are advising that the current risk remains low in Western Australia. However, as the health and wellbeing of our students and staff remains our highest priority, we need to remain vigilant to any potential for increased risks and take precautionary measures to ensure the safest possible environment for our students.
Staff and students have discussed basic protective measures to ensure the highest standard of personal hygiene and care. A handout on these is also provided for you to read with your children.
If Students or Staff are Unwell CBI asks that students and staff who are presenting with a fever or flu like symptoms to please stay at home until their symptoms are clear. If CBI College students are away for more than two days can parents, please obtain a medical certificate and send through to administration.
All International travel experiences for full-time students in 2020 have been suspended at this stage. Interstate travel to Sydney as well as the fulltime camp to Bickley is also being investigated to ensure families will be refunded should the government/education department place a ban on school camps and interstate travel. We will keep affected families updated regarding tour-specific refunds/insurance and cancellation costs.
