Charlesworth Ballet School (formerly Terri Charlesworth Ballet School) offers specialised training based on the Vaganova Method. This method of training is considered the finest syllabus of classical ballet. CBS has devised an exceptional and diverse training programme, which not only includes Classical Ballet, but also, Contemporary and Spanish Dance, Musical Theatre and Performance. Lessons are designed to cater to the student’s age and ability with awareness of the emotional, physical, and intellectual development of the child or young adult.

Honoring Miss Terri Charlesworth
At our school, we would like to take this opportunity to recognize the extraordinary achievements of our founder, Miss Terri Charlesworth. Since establishing the school in 1960, Miss Charlesworth has dedicated her life to nurturing and inspiring generations of dancers.
An OAM recipient and the honored 2006 Western Australian Citizen of the Year for Culture, Arts, and Entertainment, she is recognized both nationally and internationally for her significant contributions to classical ballet. With extensive experience studying and teaching at leading dance institutions around the globe, Miss Charlesworth has profoundly shaped the world of dance.

Her legacy continues to thrive through the passion and commitment of her daughter, Sonya Shepherd, who took over the directorship of our school in 2012.
