Our People

Born into a family of dancers, Andrea commencing her dance training at the age of 4. At the age of 10, she concentrated on the ISTD syllabus, studying Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Contemporary, and also hip hop and funk. In 2001, Andrea graduated from the Specialist Dance Program at John Curtin College of the Arts with Honours. She then continued her studies in teacher training, and completed her Associate degree in ISTD-Modern Theatre.

Andrea has worked extensively throughout Perth as a dance teacher, both in school environments, and also running her own dance studio for six years. Throughout this period she attended many courses including those offered by Nappy Tabs and Marko Panzic.

Recently Andrea has taken some time out to experience life as a stay-at-home parent of two young preschool aged children. This has allowed her to reignite her love of dance, and the enjoyment of passing this love onto others.

With the disruption of COVID in 2020, Andrea was able to move into an administration role with Charlesworth Ballet, and you will find her at the end of your phone calls and emails! You will also still find her teaching classical ballet at our Applecross, Cockburn and Floreat studios, as well as the musical theatre and jazz classes at our North Perth studio.
